Delete your account & data
This page explains how to delete your Sirena account (app IDs com.aistories.ios /
com.aistories.android), exactly what is deleted, what we keep, and for how long.
You do not need the app installed to make a deletion request — see
§2 below.
1. Delete from inside the app
Open the app and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, then
type DELETE to confirm. This is the fastest route and works the same on iOS and
Android.
The moment you confirm:
- your account is deactivated and your sign-in is disabled, so no device can keep using it;
- your Pro entitlement is revoked and we ask our subscription processor (RevenueCat) to delete its subscriber record for you;
- a 30-day grace period starts, after which everything below is permanently erased.
2. If you already uninstalled the app or can’t sign in
Email support@sirenastories.com from the email address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”. Include your display name and, if you have it, your Sirena account ID. We use the email address to confirm the request really comes from the account holder, then run the same deletion described here. If we cannot match the request to an account we will tell you rather than delete someone else’s data.
Reinstalling the app and signing back in also works — the in-app path in §1 is available again as soon as you are signed in.
3. What is deleted
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Account & profile — sign-in identity, email address, display name, account ID | Permanently deleted, including the authentication record |
| Your chats — conversations, individual messages, chat summaries, and the memory index built from them | Permanently deleted |
| Saved memory facts, in-app notifications, credit-ledger entries | Permanently deleted |
| Credit balance and Pro entitlement | Revoked immediately on request. Credits have no cash value and are forfeited on account closure (Terms §4) |
| Your profile picture and any generated avatar images stored for you | Deleted from our object storage |
| Data-export files and their download links | Deleted, so an export cannot outlive the account |
| Reports you filed and ratings / review comments you left | Permanently deleted |
| Subscription record held by RevenueCat | Deletion requested at the moment you delete the account |
4. What is kept, and why
- Characters you published publicly. Other people may be chatting with them, so public characters you created stay available and are no longer linked to a live account. If you want a character gone, delete it in the app before you delete your account, or ask support to remove it.
- Reports other people filed about your content. These belong to the person who reported, and we need them to enforce our Community Guidelines.
- Purchase records. We never receive or store your card details. Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), and their transaction records stay with them under their own retention and tax rules — we cannot delete those. Our own copy of your credit ledger is deleted with your account, and we retain only what tax and accounting law requires of us.
- Crash logs. Retained about 90 days (Firebase Crashlytics default), then discarded automatically.
- Aggregate counters that cannot identify you — for example a character’s total rating count.
5. Timeline
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Immediately | Account deactivated, sign-in disabled, Pro access and credits revoked, subscriber record deletion requested |
| Days 1–30 | Grace period. Data is retained but inaccessible. You can still ask us to restore the account — see §6 |
| After 30 days | A daily job (03:00 UTC) permanently erases everything listed in §3. This step is irreversible |
6. Changed your mind?
During the 30-day grace period only, email support@sirenastories.com with the subject “Cancel my account deletion” from the account’s email address. See Recover a deleted account for details. Once the 30 days have passed, the data is gone and cannot be restored.
